If jogging for 30 minutes isn't the best cardio workout for fat loss, than what is?

Well, intervals of course. But which method or machine is best? And how long should each interval be?

Both are very common questions.

And I truly believe there is a correct answer for both.

First, which method is best for interval training?

In the following list, I rank the methods and machines from most effective to least effective. Remember, in the end, all should be effective if you are doing the intervals correctly and eating for fat loss, but...you probably will still see better results when you use method #1.

And the winner is...sprinting. And that makes the #1 machine the treadmill.

More specifically, the absolute, #1, nothing-is-better-than-this-method-of-interval-training is, sprinting hills outside on grass. If you can do this safely, this is the best cardio workout for fat loss.

Of course, with great reward often comes increased risk. Sprinting is not for everyone. Sore knees, poor warmups, unconditioned muscles, and poor running form can quickly lead to immediate and overuse injuries. So be very conservative with this training method. Do not do hill sprinting if it is possibly unsafe for you.

Ставки на офисные помещения класса A в Киеве и Москве во втором квартале 2009 года, по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2008 года, снизились на 64,71% и 41,81% соответственно, говорится в аналитических материалах международной консалтинговой компании CB Richard Ellis.

CB Richard Ellis провела исследование, в ходе которого оценила динамику ставок на офисные помещения класса A в 49 крупных городах Европы.

Как указывается в отчете, падение ставок на офисы класса А во втором квартале 2009 года в сравнении с аналогичным периодом 2008 года было зафиксировано в 39 городах Европы. При этом, если сравнивать динамику цен на аренду офисов во втором квартале текущего года, по сравнению с первым, то снижение ставок наблюдалось в меньшем количестве городов.

"Падение арендных ставок на офисы класса А во втором квартале, по сравнению с первым, было зафиксировано в 26 из 49 городов, которые приняли участие в исследовании, а в 24 городах показатели не изменились. Значительное падение ставок на рынке недвижимости ведущих стран Западной Европы было зафиксировано в Лондоне, Мадриде, Дублине и Осло. В Германии и Нидерландах ставки относительно стабилизировались", - уточняют эксперты.

При этом возглавила список городов Европы, в которых ставки на офисы класса А во втором квартале года снизились значительнее всего, как по сравнению с первым кварталом так и с аналогичным периодом 2008 года, столица Украины - Киев.

"Самое значительное падение наблюдается в Киеве - на 25%, по сравнению с первым кварталом, до 360 долларов за квадратный метр в год и в Москве (на 16% до 1 тысячи долларов за квадратный метр в год)", - указывается в отчете.

В среднем, согласно исследованию CBRE, арендные ставки на офисы класса А в 15 странах-членах Евросоюза во втором квартале 2009 года упали на 2,9%, по сравнению с первым кварталом.

"В основном, спад наблюдался в нескольких городах Великобритании, а также в некоторых городах Центральной и Восточной Европы, включая Будапешт, Бухарест и Белград", - отмечают аналитики.

Weight Loss - Don't Give Up!

Whether you have a little or a lot to shed, it's important to stay motivated. Some people give up weight loss diet and exercise programs a few months into the year, but for those die hard fans of a better body, you keep at it day after day waiting for the first glimpse of change. Then, not only do you notice, but so do family, friends, and co-workers. Their reinforcement along with the dropping numbers on the scale, spur you on to victory. But, one day, the numbers stop falling. Thirty pounds from your goal, and still there is no movement on the scale. What should you do?

Don't give up! Take this viewpoint; you may not be losing weight, but neither are you gaining weight. Plateaus are experienced several times over the course of a weight loss program. In the beginning, weight loss is steady because it's new to the body. Your increased metabolism and decreased caloric intake work to shed those pounds. Water loss accounts for at least the first ten pounds of weight loss. As your body works to adjust to your physical activity, more calories are burned which translates into more weight loss. Plateaus come when the body has become accustomed to the routine. Don't stress over it. Giving up now will only put you right back to square one.

Throw out the scale! You may have heard this before, but it's true: muscle weighs more than fat. If weight training has been a component of your weight loss program, then as the muscle mass increases so will your weight. You may still be losing fat, but the weight of the increased muscle balances everything out. Therefore, examine your diet and exercise program.
